Yes. Our Intensif, Intensif Plus and long-term programmes are designed for students preparing a first student visa application or a residence permit renewal in France. EDAM Paris provides the enrolment documents needed for your file. The final decision always rests with the consulate, the prefecture or the competent French authorities.
No. No French language school can guarantee that a visa or residence permit will be granted. This decision always rests with the consulate, the prefecture or the French administration. EDAM Paris will provide you with a compliant enrolment certificate and a solid file, but the final decision is not ours.
For a student visa or residence permit renewal file, we recommend daytime formats with a substantial number of weekly hours, particularly Intensif, Intensif Plus and long-term programmes. Evening courses, Saturday courses, à-la-carte lessons or private lessons alone are generally not enough to form the core of a student file.
The VLS-T is a temporary long-stay visa, often used for a stay of a few months. It is generally not renewable from within France. The student VLS-TS is a long-stay visa equivalent to a residence permit: it must be validated after arrival in France and may, under certain conditions, allow renewal. The exact rules depend on your situation and on the decision of the French authorities.
No. Enrolment in a school does not automatically allow you to change a tourist visa or short stay into a student visa. In most cases, a student visa application must be submitted from your country of residence, through the competent consulate.
Once your enrolment has been approved and the required payment received, EDAM Paris can provide an enrolment certificate, a certificate of school attendance and, if necessary, a programme summary indicating the dates, level, number of hours and course format. These documents support your file but do not prejudge the final decision.
Yes. For a renewal or administrative follow-up in France, attendance can be an important part of the file. EDAM Paris keeps attendance records and can issue attendance certificates when necessary. Repeated absences can weaken your administrative file.
In the event of a duly justified first visa refusal (official letter from the consulate, original enrolment certificate, copy of the passport and bank details/RIB), EDAM Paris refunds the tuition fees received, after deducting €400 in administrative fees (Article 2.2 of the Terms and Conditions) and any bank charges. No refund is made if the refusal results from the student’s failure to comply with consular procedures. The full conditions are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Consular processing times can be unpredictable. If your visa is delayed, contact us as soon as possible. When the teaching organisation allows, we will look for a reasonable solution: postponing the start date, changing session or adjusting the schedule.
Yes. On request, we can issue enrolment, school attendance or attendance certificates, as well as a detailed invoice in the name of your company or university. Please provide the exact name, address and any required administrative information when enrolling.
