You're learning French, you're making progress every day, but one question remains: "What is my actual level?" Passing an official exam like the DELF or DALF is a significant challenge. That's why at EDAM Paris , we organize mock exams approximately every two months .
Why is this an essential step in your French as a Foreign Language (FLE) journey? We'll explain everything.

1. Getting into "combat mode": the real conditions
Nothing replaces field experience. A mock exam at EDAM is not just a classroom exercise; it's a full-scale simulation.
Time management: Between listening comprehension (LC) and written production (WP), the minutes fly by. Learning to complete a B2 exam in 2 hours 30 minutes or an A1 exam in 1 hour 20 minutes requires practice.
Stress management: By facing the timers and the silence of the exam room now, you halve your stress on the day of the official exam.

2. Validate your level before committing
Registering for an official exam represents a cost and a personal investment. A mock exam allows you to validate your level (A1, A2, B1 or B2).
EDAM's advice: If you get an excellent score on the mock exam, go for it! If it's a little close, it allows you to adjust your efforts before paying the official registration fees.
Level | Duration of Writings | Focus Oral |
A1 | 1 hour 20 minutes | Simple interaction |
A2 | 1 hour 40 minutes | Information exchange |
B1 | 1:55 | Expression of a point of view |
B2 | 2:30 | Structured argumentation |

3. Accurate diagnosis by experts
Our examiners (like Laëtitia, Marushka, or Charlotte, whom you might see in our halls!) are thoroughly familiar with the CIEP criteria. After the exam, you don't just receive a grade. You identify your strengths and, most importantly, your areas for improvement . Is it grammar? Fluency? The structure of your argument? You'll know exactly what to work on.

4. A regular pace for consistent progress
Because learning French is a marathon, we offer these sessions every two months . This pace allows you to:
Set short-term goals.
To concretely measure one's progress from one session to the next.
Staying motivated within a community of students who share the same challenges.

What is a typical day like at EDAM Paris?
As with our session on March 11, 2026 , we are following a strict protocol to best prepare you:
Morning (9:30am - 12:30pm): Written tests (Listening comprehension, reading comprehension and written production).
Afternoon (from 12:30 pm): Individual oral examinations before a jury.
It's intense, it's educational, and it's the best way to transform your "blah blah" into fluent and certified French!

Ready to take on the challenge? Don't leave your success to chance. Join us for the next mock exam session and give yourself the best chance to earn your FLE diploma with flying colors.
